Nezuko Becomes a Demon
Kamado Tanjiro, a boy who sells charcoal, lives modestly in the mountains with his mother and five siblings. In the warmth of his large family, Tanjiro feels happiness in his daily life, even though he is poor. One snowy day, Tanjiro goes down the mountain to sell charcoal in town. The town's residents love him and rely on his keen sense of smell and attentiveness. and is asked to do the usual chores, leading the time to pass by fast. He decides to stay the night at Saburo's house at the bottom of the mountain but is skeptical about Saburo's fears about the danger of demons after dark. The next morning, Tanjiro returns home and is shocked to find his family slaughtered. Noticing that his sister Nezuko's body's still warm, Tanjiro tries to climb down the mountain with Nezuko on his back. As Tanjiro rushes down, in hopes that she may be saved if he shows her to a doctor, Nezuko wakes up and bites Tanjiro. To his surprise, Nezuko has turned into a human-eating demon. In front of the devastated Tanjiro, Tomioka Giyu, a member of the Demon Slayer Corps, appears. Giyu, having the power to equally fight a demon, attempts to kill Nezuko, but Tanjiro stops him by risking his life. Nezuko attempts to protect Tanjiro and stands up to Giyu. Giyu, feeling that Nezuko still has a human heart, decides to let Nezuko live.
Joining the Demon Slayer Corps After Days of Training
Tomioka Giyu states that Kamado Nezuko became a demon because her wounds were exposed to demon blood, and only the demons know how to turn Nezuko back into a human. Wanting to turn Nezuko back into a human, Tanjiro persuades Giyu, and with his help, he begins to work toward joining the Demon Slayer Corps. Tanjiro is sent to the top of the mountain where the air is thin to train under Urokodaki Sakonji, who trains the swordsmen of the Demon Slayer Corps. A year later, Sakonji gives him the challenge to slay a rock that is larger than his height. He struggles with this difficult task but manages to slay the rock by mastering the breathing techniques that Sakonji taught him. Tanjiro, who is now qualified to participate in the final selection process for joining the Demon Slayer Corps, heads for Mount Fujikasane, where the final selection takes place. During the test, Tanjiro encounters a large, deformed demon that holds hostility against Sakonji. The demon, who was once a human, still holds a grudge against Sakonji for capturing him. Tanjiro fights back with the techniques Sakonji taught him, and although he struggles, he successfully defeats the large deformed demon. Seven days after entering Mount Fujikasane, Tanjiro survived the final selection defeating a total of eight demons and was successfully qualified to join the Demon Slayer Corps, but he is puzzled to learn that only four of the 20 challengers survived. When he learns that all the other challengers were eaten by the demons, Tanjiro once again expresses his anger toward the demons. Later, Tanjiro, now equipped with a Nichirin Sword (Nichirin To) and a corps uniform heads for Tokyo, where the demons are said to have appeared, as a member of the Demon Slayer Corps.
Following the Clues of the Ruler of the Demon World, Kibutsuji Muzan
Kamado Tanjiro arrives in Tokyo and gains a clue about Kibutsuji Muzan, the core figure of the demon world. Muzan is the only demon in the world with the blood that turns humans into demons and was Tanjiro's nemesis for turning Nezuko into a demon. Tanjiro finds Muzan with his super sense of smell and is astonished to see that Muzan has a human family and naturally lives in the human world. To escape the murderous Tanjiro, Muzan transforms a passing man into a demon and forces him to attack Tanjiro, and disappears. Tanjiro struggles but is saved by Tamayo, who is a demon but helps people as a doctor, and is researching medicine that turns demons back into humans. Tanjiro decides to help Tamayo's research to turn Nezuko back into a human, and Tamayo asks him to collect blood from the demons of the "Twelve Kizuki". Just then, Yabapa and Susamaru, two members of the Twelve Kizuki sent by Muzan, appear. Tanjiro confronts them and aims for the opportunity to collect their blood, but Yahaba and Susamaru, whom he defeats after a hard fight, do not have the carved eyeballs, which means they were not the Twelve Kizuki. Deeply wounded, Tanjiro imagines the strength of the Twelve Kizuki he has not yet seen, and while pondering, he bids farewell to Tamayo and decides to continue on his trip.
Zenitsu and Inosuke
On his way, he is reunited with Agatsuma Zenitsu, a member of the Demon Slayer Corps. While rebuking Zenitsu for his lack of enthusiasm in the face of the demon's strength, Tanjiro and Zenjitsu set out to exterminate Kyogai, a demon who attacks people with Blood Demon Art (Kekkijutsu) using a drum. Having the mansion being ruled and being deeply wounded from the previous battle, Tanjiro struggles, but Zenitsu's swordsmanship shines through as he faints from fear and anxiety reaching his peak, and they succeed in killing Kyogai. Zenitsu is usually a coward, but he has a special constitution that allows him to display his true strength when he sleeps. However, before they can catch their breath, a two-sworded swordsman in the skin of a wild boar attacks them. Upon learning that the sword held by the swordsman in the skin of a boar was a Nichilin Sword, a proof that he was a member of the Demon Slayer Corps, Tanjiro asked him for details about the situation and discovered that the swordsman in the boar's skin was a fellow member of the Demon Slayer Corps who had survived the final selection at the same time as Tanjiro. The swordsman, who goes by the name of Hashibira Inosuke, is a fiery fighter who rebels against Tanjiro and Zenitsu but ends up working together with them under orders.
The Battle at Mount Natagumo
When Kamado Tanjiro and others go to Mount Natagumo to assist the demon outbreak, they witness the members of the Demon Slayer Corps slashing each other. Tanjiro and Hashibira Inosuke, noticing that the demons have been controlling them with spider webs and forcing them to kill each other, fight together and defeat the female demon. Meanwhile, Agatsuma Zenitsu, who entered Mount Natagumo late, was bitten by a humanoid spider and was about to be turned into a spider by the poison that entered his wound. Zenitsu finally faints after experiencing physical anomalies, and by sleeping, his fighting ability releases and succeeds in kicking out the surrounding demons. Then, a male demon appears before Tanjiro and Inosuke as they proceed deeper into the mountains. The male demon uses his incredible strength to hunt them down, and Tanjiro is thrown far away, separated from Inosuke. Tanjiro, concerned for Inosuke's safety, meets Rui, a demon who wields spider webs, and learns that he is the practical leader of the demons that live in Mount Natagumo and is one of the Twelve Kizuki. Tanjiro and Nezuko face Rui, but as expected of the Twelve Kizuki, things are not as simple as they seem. The two were cornered and were about to be killed when Tomioka Giyu rushed to their aid and successfully destroyed Rui.
Nezuko Becomes the Verified Demon by the Demon Slayer Corps
After being separated from Kamado Tanjiro, Tomioka Giyu also helped Hashibira Inosuke, who was struggling against the male demon. Tanjiro feels firsthand that Giyu is strong enough to deserve the title of the Hashira, a powerful member of the Demon Slayer Corps, but Tanjiro, who stands beside Rui, who is deeply saddened by the memory of when he was human before he turns into dust, rebels against Giyu, who tells him not to pity the demons. Then, Kocho Shinobu, a member of the Hahira, enters the scene. Giyu, who foresees the danger to Kamado Nezuko, defends Tanjiro and Nezuko, and confronts Shinobu, who insists that demons must be destroyed under any circumstances. Tanjiro and Nezuko escape while Giyu and Shinobu fight, but are captured by Tsuyuri Kanao, Shinobu's tsuguko, who pursues them. Tanjiro is brought before the Hashira's of the Demon Slayer Corps, who insist that Nezuko, a demon, must be put to death, and together with the Hashira's, he meets Ubuyashiki Kagaya, the head of the Demon Slayer Corps. Tanjiro cries when Kagaya informs him that Urokodaki Sakonji and Giyu are prepared to commit seppuku (ritual suicide) if Nezuko falls to the human-eating demons. Thus, through Sakonji's and Giyu's pleas to put their life in line, Nezuko was permitted to join Tanjiro as an official demon of the Demon Slayer Corps.
The Battle at the Mugen Train
After being fully wounded in the battle with Rui at Mount Natagumo, Kamado Tanjiro, Agatsuma Zenitsu, and Hasibira Inosuke undergo a full treatment and training by Kocho Shinobu. After realizing that the secret of the Demon Slayer Corps Hashira lies in the Total Concentration Breathing (Zen Shuchu no Kokyu), Tanjiro and others succeed in evolving their Total Concentration Breathing by continuing their training. With their newfound strength, Tanjiro and others boarded the Mugen Train, a train that runs through the city, in pursuit of the Demon Slayer Corps Hashira, Rengoku Kyojuro. Kyojuro, whom they meet up with, tells them that he has come to investigate the disappearance of the members of the Demon Slayer Corps who boarded the Mugen Train one after another. The group is wary, but they fall for Enmu's tricks and are put to sleep. In exchange for showing the weak-minded humans a sweet dream, Enmu ordered them to enter the dreams of Tanjiro and others and destroy their spirits. Tanjiro, who dreamed of a peaceful past where his family was still alive, wanted to stay in the dream forever, but he returned to reality with the call of Nezuko from the real world. Tanjiro confronts Enmu, but while Tanjiro and others were sleeping, Enmu has abandoned his body and merged with the Mugen Train. The battle with Enmu, who has taken more than 200 humans as hostages, is fierce, but Tanjiro finally finds Enmu's neck in the first car of the train and succeeds in cutting it off.
Inheriting the Legacy of Rengoku Kyojuro
Kamado Tanjiro stops the Mugen Train from running out of control but is suddenly ambushed by one of the Twelve Kizuki, Akaza. The aim of Akaza who appeared in front of Tanjiro and others was to recruit Rengoku Kyojuro, who had perfectly protected 200 people held hostage by Enmu as the Demon Slayer Corps Hashira, to become a demon. Kyojuro refused the invitation to become a demon and train further to become Akaza's eternal and best foe. And after a fierce battle with Akaza, Kyojuro is severely injured and dies. Tanjiro and others were in shock to hear the news of the death of the long-time Demon Slayer Corps Hashira, but they followed Kyojuro's will and trained harder than ever with the goal of one day becoming the Demon Slayer Corps Hashira. One day, Tanjiro decides to visit the family home of Kyojuro, who has protected the people as a Demon Slayer Corps Hashira for generations, to convey Kyojuro's will to his family. There Tanjiro learns from Kyojuro's father, a former Hashira, that his family is descended from a master of Sun Breathing, which is considered the beginning of Total Concentration Breathing. Tanjiro feels even more pressure for knowing his roots. Four months later, Uzui Tengen, one of the Demon Slayer Corps Hashira, appears at the Butterfly Mansion (Cho Yashiki), where Tanjiro trains, and takes him to the Yoshiwara Yukaku where demons reside.
Undercover Investigation into the Yoshiwara Yukaku
The reason why Uzui Tengen decided to enter the Yoshiwara Yukaku was that his three wives had disappeared there. Kamado Tanjiro, Agatsuma Zenitsu, and Hashibira Inosuke, who each disguise themselves as prostitutes and blend in, discover that Daki, one of the Twelve Kizuki, has been kidnapping people on the street, disguised as an oiran. Tanjiro encounters and confronts Daki, when Koinatsu, an oiran who has been kind to him, is attacked by Daki, but he is no match for her. During the battle, Tanjiro notices by instinct that Hinokami Kagura is more suited to him than Water Breathing, and he raises his body temperature to make Hinokami Kagura easier to control. Meanwhile, Tengen learns that his wives have been kidnapped because they have discovered that Daki is a demon, and he storms into the Daki's food storehouse deep in the ground to save them. He then join up with Inosuke, who happened to reach the storehouse, his wives Makio and Suma, as they were fighting against the guardian of the storehouse, Mimizu Obi, but Mimizu Obi sensed the danger of Daki and left to join her. Tengen returns to the ground and joins Tanjiro, and is awed by the powerful figure of Kamado Nezuko, who fights Daki on behalf of the injured Tanjiro. Nezuko was cornering Daki, demonstrating healing and fighting ability on par with the Twelve Kizuki.
The battle at the Yoshiwara Yukaku
Continuing the onslaught in a fury, Kamado Nezuko finally submerged Daki into the ground. Uzui Tengen drops her neck to finish off Daki, but the wounded Nezuko, still reeling from the excitement of the battle, attacks the people around her. Tanjiro prevents Nezuko, who has lost her human heart in exchange for the fighting ability as strong as the Twelve Kizuki, from eating humans. Tanjiro, who left the scene until Nezuko falls asleep, is horrified to see Gyutaro appears out of Daki, who has not died even after her neck is cut off. Gyutaro, a demon who possesses evil energy more powerful than that of Daki, uses poison to hunt down Tengen. During the fight, Tengen realizes that he must slay the two demons at the same time in order to defeat both Gyutaro and Daki, but he struggles against the combination of Gyutaro and Daki's combat skills, who have been deeply bonded since they were human siblings. Eventually, Hashibira Inosuke manages to slay the neck of Daki but is mortally wounded by the pursuing Gyutaro. After retrieving Daki's neck from the dying Inosuke, Gyutaro is temporarily deprived of his regenerative powers by the resourcefulness of Tengen's wife, Hinatsuru, who fights with a kunai made from wisteria flower poison, and his neck is slain by Tanjiro. Left with only their necks, both Gyutaro and Daki lost their power and decayed together in the morning sun. Tengen, deeply wounded in this mortal combat, was forced to retire from the Hashira post, but Tanjiro, Agatsuma Zenitsu, and Inosuke, who had defeated the Twelve Kizuki, gained attention from the Demon Slayer Corps Hashira's and Ubuyashiki Kagaya, who had high hopes for their long-held dream of defeating Kibutsuji Muzan.
Ability gained at the Swordsmith Village (Katanakaji no Sato)
Two months after his fight, Kamado Tanjiro finally awoke from his near-death state and unconsciousness in the fight to the death with Daki at the Yoshiwara Yukaku. Until he fully recovers, Tanjiro decides to visit Haganezuka Hotaru in the Swordsmith Village. In the previous fight, he had damaged his Nichirin Sword that Hotaru had made for him, which made him furious. Therefore, he decides to visit Hotaru in person and ask him to make him a new Nichirin Sword. When Tanjiro arrives at the Swordsmith Village, Tecchikawahara Tecchin , the head of the village, tells them that Hotaru is missing. While the villagers searched for Hotaru, Tanjiro was told to take a rest at the hot spring in the village, where he happened to meet Kanroji Mitsuri, a member of the Demon Slayer Corps Hashira. Mitsuri advises Tanjiro to look for a secret weapon hidden in the village that will make him stronger, and leaves. While Tanjiro is searching for the secret weapon, he encounters Tokito Muichiro, a Hashira, who has taken the key to the Yoriichi Type Zero, a battle doll, from Kotetsu, an apprentice swordsmith in the village, and begins training without permission. The aging Yoriichi Type Zero is broken, but somehow manages to recover, and Kotetsu arranges for Tanjiro to begin his harsh training. Tanjiro nearly crossed the Sanzu River, but as a result of his harsh training, he gained the ability to foresee movements and was able to tell by smell where his opponent was going to strike next.
The Swordsmith Village Being Attacked
Kamado Tanjiro, who had awakened to new abilities thanks to his training with the Yoriichi Type Zero, and together with Kotetsu, they focused their attention on a sword that came out of the Yoriichi Type Zero. The sword was rusty, but Haganezuka Hotaru, who had returned from his training in the mountains, appears and offers to revive the sword with a special polishing technique. Tanjiro extends his stay in the swordsmith village, to coincide with the polishing, but the village is attacked by the Twelve Kizuki demons, Gyokko and Hantengu. Tanjiro, Kamado Nezuko, and Tokito Muichiro, who were fighting the Hantengu, struggle against the four new alter egos that appear from among the splitted Hantengu, Sekido, Karaku, Urogi, and Aizetsu. Tanjiro's fellow, Shinazugawa Genya, who happens to be there, also joins the fight, and the battle rages on, involving the swordsmiths. Tanjiro, who is in a harsh position due to the attack of Karaku, who has wings and can fly freely in the sky, is surprised to find that Nezuko's Blood Demon Art has burned his Nichirin Sword, transforming it into a Blood Burst Sword (Bakketsu Tou). Thanks to the Blood Burst Sword, Tanjiro was able to successfully handle the Hinokami Kagura, and he was able to stop Karaku's movement. Meanwhile, Muichiro, who was blown far away by Karaku's fan, saved Kotetsu and Kanamori Kozo from being attacked by demons. To protect Hotaru, who was holed up in the Abara house and concentrating on polishing the Nichirin Sword of Tanjiro and others, Muichiro decides to fight the attacking Gyokko.
The Battle of the Swordsmith Village
In his fight against Gyokko, Tokito Muichiro protects Kotetsu and Kanamori Kozo and is poisoned. Muichiro's entire body goes numb, and he is finally trapped in a water bowl by Gyokko's technique. Muichiro prepares to die but is inspired by the fact that he was rescued by the impotent Kotetsu, who risked his life saving him. He fought through with a new sword that Kozo had given him and successfully cut off Gokkyo's head. Kamado Tanjiro struggles against the attacks of the Hantengu's alter egos, but through joint combat with Kamado Nezuko and Shinazugawa Genya, he gradually corners Hantengu. The cornered Hantengu creates an even more powerful alter ego, Zohakuten, but the battle turns in their favor when Kanroji Mitsuri notices that the Swordsmith Village is under attack by the Twelve Kizuki and rushes to their aid. Leaving the powerful Zohakuten up to Mitsuri, Tanjiro tries to defeat the main body of Hantengu, but it is extremely challenging to catch Hantengu, who has shrunk to the size of a mouse and is running away. Tanjiro finally captures the main body of Hantengu and succeeds in cutting his head off, but he is so focused on the fight that he ends up spending the sunrise in the plain with no protection from the sun. The demons are vulnerable to the sunshine, and it was thought that Nezuko would burn away without a bone left, but to his surprise, Nezuko naturally stood there and smiled at Tanjiro.
Ubuyashiki Kagaya's Life-risking Plan
Despite being a demon, Nezuko is now able to walk outside during the day. It is not clear whether Nezuko is on the verge of turning into a human or evolving as a demon, which causes Kamado Tanjiro to ponder, but there is no way that Kibutsuji Muzan would leave Nezuko alone after she conquers the sun. In preparation for the battle with the demons, which is sure to get more intense in the future, the Demon Slayer Corps began strengthening training and began to have the Demon Slayer Corps members train under the guidance of the Hashira to improve each member's abilities. Through this training Tanjiro steadily absorbs the secrets of the Demon Slayer Corps Hashira's strength. While Tanjiro and others are training hard, Kibutsuji Muzan appears before Ubuyashiki Kagaya, who is ill and has only a short time left to live. Muzan's goal is to kill the hated Kagaya, who is the head of the Demon Slayer Corps. Kagaya would have died of illness even if left alone, but Muzan visited Kagaya so he could kill him with his own hands. Kagaya read this thought of Muzan, and entrusted his wish to Tamayo and Himejima Gyomei, with whom he had asked for cooperation, to defeat Muzan, and blew himself up. Muzan, who was injured in the aftermath of the explosion, is attacked by Tanjiro and other members of the Demon Slayer Corps Hashira, along with Tamayo and Gyomei.
The Victory Raised by the Three
After being intensively attacked by Kamado Tanjiro and Demon Slayer Corps Hashira, Kibutsuji Muzan moves the group to his root castle, the Mugen Castle. Inside the castle, the structure is as complex as a Karakuri mansion, and it is a mysterious space where heaven and ground seem to be jumbled up together. The scattered Tanjiro and others run around the mansion looking for signs of Muzan. By chance, Kocho Shinobu meets Doma of the Twelve Kizuki, who killed her sister Kocho Kanae, and challenges him to a fight, but is killed and eaten. Tsuyuri Kanao, a tsuguko of Shinobu's, follows her and confronts Doma, but she can only defend herself against Doma, who has many techniques that attack wide range, not having the chance to fight back. At the moment, Hashibira Inosuke intervenes. Inosuke is furious to learn that Shinobu, whom he cared for, has been killed and that her mother, Kotoha, has also been killed by Doma, and he and Kanao struggle to defeat Doma. It is not easy to defeat Doma, the second most powerful of the Twelve Kizuki, but as time goes by, the poison of wisteria flowers that Shinobu had spread all over her body before her death begins to take effect on Doma, who has eaten Shinobu, and gradually loses his strength. Inosuke and Kanao together slew Doma's head and defeated him spectacularly.
The Fight With Kokushibo
When he encounters Kokushibo, Tokito Muichiro is upset to learn that he is a descendant of Kokushibo when he was a human. Before he became a demon, Kokushibo was the twin brother of Tugikuni Yoriichi. As the leader of the Twelve Kizuki, Kokushibo has unparalleled strength, and Muichiro is helpless against Kokushibo's attacks who uses the Moon Breathing that he learned when he was a human. When Muichiro is stabbed with a sword and unable to move, Shinazugawa Sanemi and Shinazugawa Genya rush to aid. Sanemi's rare blood intoxicates Kokushibo, but it was not enough, and Gyomei, the strongest of the Demon Slayer Corps Hashira, joins the fight. Gyomei and Sanemi fight against Kokushibo, and the battle goes on. Meanwhile, Genya, deeply wounded, attempts to power up by eating Kokushibo's hair that fell on the ground and the broken edge of Kokushibo's beloved sword. By absorbing part of Kokushibo, which had been fed with the thick blood of Kibutsuji Muzan, Genya temporarily became able to handle the Blood Demon Art, and the fight quickly turned into an advantageous battle. The four attack in full force and succeed in defeating Kokushibo. Although Muichiro and Genya were killed by the final blow of the cornered Kokushibo, Gyomei and Sanemi held back their tears and continued. Meanwhile, Muzan eats the members of the Demon Slayer Corps who had challenged him without waiting for the arrival of the Hashira, recovering his strength and putting an end to the dying Tamayo.
The Growth of Tanjiro
At the Mugen Castle, Agatsuma Zenitsu confronts his former brother Kaigaku, who became a demon. Zenitsu tries to reform Kaigaku, who became a demon after betraying Kuwajima Jigoro, a former Demon Slayer Corps Hashira, whom Zenitsu loved as a grandfather, but Kaigaku, who is steeped in the demon world that held him high, refuses Zenitsu. Zenitsu, who could only use the First Form and has survived by mastering it until today, made up his mind to part away with Kaigaku, when he learned of Kaigaku's true intention and defeated him by invoking the Seventh Form that he invented. Meanwhile, Kamado Tanjiro encounters Akaza, the hated avenger of Kyojuro's murder, fights back refining his techniques to perfection and is able to hold off Akaza. Watching the fight, Tomioka Giyu realizes that Tanjiro is as strong as the Demon Slayer Corps Hashira. The battle between Akaza and Tanjiro/Giyu continues, but eventually, Akaza, touched by Tanjiro's purity as a human being, remembers Keizo and Koyuki, who had taken care of him when he was a human. Having regained the conscience that he had when he was a human, Akaza recognizes his weakness and decays. Tanjiro and Giyu, who had defeated Akaza and continued, finally arrived at Kibutsuji Muzan. There they find Muzan, who has not only been completely recovered but also powered up after eating the members of the Demon Slayer Corps that marched in the Mugen Castle.
Defeat Muzan With Full Strike
Confronting Kibutsuji Muzan, Kamado Tanjiro and Tomioka Giyu struggle against the overwhelming strength of Muzan. Meanwhile, Kanroji Mitsuri and Iguro Obanai, who were supposed to be fighting Nakime, who had entered the Twelve Kizuki on behalf of Hantengu, appear to help. The murder of Tamayo had angered Yushiro, who had taken over Nakime's vision and manipulated the information so that Nakime would not be aware of the movements of Mitsuri and Obanai. The surviving members of the Demon Slayer Corps, unnoticed by Muzan due to Yushiro's ability, all plan to launch an all-out attack, but Muzan is formidable, and as the battle rages on, the Mugen Castle eventually collapses and all the members are blown to the ground. Tanjiro and others are confused by the shift of the battlefield to the city, but they must not let Muzan escape from the ground for the next hour and a half until dawn. In the middle of a harsh battle, something unusual happens to Tanjiro when he is attacked by Muzan. When Tanjiro was attacked by Muzan, he was injected with a large amount of Muzan's blood. As he lay dying, Tanjiro's consciousness became clouded and he saw the image of Tugikuni Yoriichi. It was the memory of his ancestor, Kamado Sumiyoshi.
Knowing the Hinokami Kagura
Through his memory of Kamado Sumiyoshi, Kamado Tanjiro learns of the fateful relationship between Tugikuni Yoriichi and Kibutsuji Muzan. Yoriichi, who excelled at swordsmanship since childhood, became a Demon Slayer after his wife and child were killed by demons in their last month of pregnancy, and he met and fought to the death with Muzan. Even after Tanjiro's fall, the fierce battle between Muzan and the Demon Slayer Corps Hashira continued. Himejima Gyomei, Kanroji Mitsuri, Iguro Obanai, and Tomioka Giyu, who had survived the battle at the Mugen Castle, were attacked by Muzan, and at the same time began to weaken from the blood of Muzan injected into their bodies. However, with the serum that Tamayo completed before death, they were able to temporarily stop the destruction of the cells. Hashibira Inosuke, Agatsuma Zenitsu, and Tsuyuri Kanao also came to the rescue, and the situation began to improve. Tanjiro, who had collapsed under the cruel attack, survives and regains consciousness due to the efforts of Yushiro's nursing. Upon awakening, Tanjiro attempts to start the 13th Form of Hinokami Kagura, which had once cornered Muzan. Tanjiro had noticed a rule, as he had seen in his memory the breathing that Sumiyoshi had learned from Yoriichi.
The Final Battle With Kibutsuji Muzan
Kamado Tanjiro begins to dance the Hinokami Kagura's Form in order, dodging the attacks of Kibutsuji Muzan that come at him as he changes his body at will. Tanjiro begins with the First Form, and when he finishes the 12th Form, the techniques form a circle to form the 13th Form. While being tossed around by Tanjiro's techniques, Muzan realizes that his regenerative powers are beginning to fade. After eating Tamayo, several medicines developed jointly by Tamayo and Kocho Shinobu began circulating in Muzan's cells, the first of which would turn Muzan back into a human, and the second that would make him age if the first wish could not be fulfilled. Cursing himself for growing old, Muzan realizes that there is not much time left until dawn, and attempts to escape to a place where he can hide from the sun. However, Muzan is unable to divide his body due to eating Tamayo, and the drug with its cell-destroying effects begins to take effect. As dawn begins to break, the impatient Muzan transforms Tanjiro into a demon, entrusting him with all of his wishes.

His other siblings were Kamado Nezuko, the eldest daughter, Hanako, the second daughter, Shigeru, the third son, and Rokuta, the fourth son. After the death of their father, he took the place of their father in taking care of their siblings. He is a serious but stubborn man, and his stone head in another sense is so strong that he can even defeat his enemies. Although he despairs that Nezuko, the only survivor, has become a demon after his family was killed by demons, he recognizes that human heart that remains in her and, to save her, he trains under Urokodaki Sakonji and joins the Demon Slayer Corps. He specializes in Water Breathing, but later learned that Kamado Tanjiro himself was of Sun Breathing descent, and developed a fighting style that combines the two. The Nichirin Sword he carries had a black blade, but the flames of Nezuko's Blood Demon Art restore it to its original red color. In the final battle against Muzan, he uses his Hinokami Kagura to hunt Muzan down and finally achieves his long-cherished dream of defeating Muzo with the members of the Demon Slayer Corps. After peace returned to the world, he married Tsuyuri Kanao and left behind his offspring.
Kamado Nezuko
Sister of Kamado Tanjiro. She is a kind-hearted girl who always helps her mother with her younger brother Rokuta on her back. She was found dying by Tanjiro after being attacked by Kibutsuji Muzan on a violent snowy night. She became a demon due to Muzan's blood entering her wound. When she first became a demon, she was almost killed by Tomioka Giyu when she attacked Tanjiro, but she protected him with her remaining human heart, which made Giyu hesitate to condemn her, and she survived. After she turned into a demon, she was forced to bite a bamboo tube into her mouth as a gag to prevent her from attacking people. She is also afraid of the sun, which is a characteristic of demons, and even in a cave, she will dig a hole and hide in it if the sunshine comes in. After Tanjiro joins the Demon Slayer Corps, she is carried on his back during the daytime in a very light wooden box made of mist-clouded cedar. She is a demon, but instead of ingesting human flesh and blood, she regains her strength through sleep. Eventually, at the suggestion of Urokodaki Sakonji, she begins to see humans as her family and fights demons to protect them. She deals with Blood Demon Art that emits flames, which can purify the poison in the body and change Tanjiro's sword from black to its original red color.

He volunteered to join the Demon Slayer Corps and became friends with Sabito, who was the same age as him and had also had his family killed by demons, and together they challenged the final selection at Mount Fujikasane. He was seriously wounded by a demon and his life was in danger, but due to the protection and help of the talented Sabito, he survived for seven days and was able to join the Demon Slayer Corps without slaying any demons. He continues to blame himself because he feels guilty about Sabito sacrificing himself to protect the other examinees, and believes that he is not qualified to call himself the Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps. When he first meets Kamado Tanjiro, he tells him that it's Tomioka Giyu's job to slay demons, and he attempts to behead Kamado Nezuko, who has turned into a demon, but he decides to let Nezuko live after learning of the bond between Nezuko and Tanjiro. He bought the courage of Tanjiro, who challenged him unarmed when Nezuko was about to be killed and gave him a letter of introduction to Urokodaki Saknoji, who was responsible for training swordsmen for the Demon Slayer Corps, which led to Tanjiro joining the Demon Slayer Corps. Furthermore, jointly with Sakonji, he expresses his willingness to commit seppuku when Nezuko falls to the human-eating demon and convinces the Demon Slayer Corps Hashiras and Ubuyashiki Kagaya to allow Nezuko to work together with Tanjiro. He believes that Tanjiro's biggest weakness is his lack of judgment, for he has the tenderness to even sympathize with demons. He does not want to see any more children die and is reluctant to let Tanjiro take the test to join the Demon Slayer Corps. However, Tanjiro has passed the test given by Urokodaki Sakonji himself, to slay a large rock, and Urokodaki Sakonji is determined and gives Tanjiro a mask in the shape of a fox to ward off evil and sends him off to the final selection process. He and Tomioka Giyu, who took the test with him, were especially close having been the same age and in the same situation. He had a strong sense of justice, and his swordsmanship was outstanding, in which he was eaten by a demon alone protecting his fellow examinees and lost his life. He was very manly and had a habit of saying, "If you are a man, don't whine". He suddenly appears in front of Kamado Tanjiro six months after Tanjiro had been given the challenge to slay the large rock by Sakonji and has been through trial and error. She and Sabito were orphans who were picked up and raised by Urokodaki Sakonji, and she is very grateful to Sakonji and professes to love him. Therefore, he hates those who volunteer to join the Demon Slayer Corps wearing the fox masks that Sakonji gives to those he sends to the final selection process, and he eats them and counts the number of people he has killed. He has eaten 13 of Sakonji's disciples, and he claims to have eaten about 50 children who came to the final selection process. He has an extremely high regenerative ability, and even when his arms are cut off, it grows back immediately. His neck is so well protected that the blade of Sabito's sword broke, but he was destroyed by Tanjiro, who used Total Concentration Breathing. He was once a human, but became a demon, and having bitten his precious brother to death, he completely forgot his human heart and became a human-eating demon.

He is young for his age, and his hands come before his mouth. He is very attached to the sword he makes, and if the person to whom he has given the sword damages or loses it, he will show his fury by attacking them with a blade. His such behavior has driven customers away but is grateful to Tanjiro, who continues to ask him for his sword, and he has trained himself in the mountains to become muscular and skilled at forging for Tanjiro. When he was a human more than 1,000 years ago, his body was so weak that it was said he would die of illness before the age of 20. He came to realize that he has transformed into a demon from the test drug he took after killing his doctor out of suffering from his illness. Since he was the first being in this world to become a demon, it is believed that he knows how to turn demons back into humans. In order to control the demons and prevent them from betraying him, he puts his own cells into the bodies of the demons under his control. If a demon is about to commit a treacherous act such as leaking a secret, he uses his own cells from the inside to destroy the body and kill it. He can also read the thoughts of those who share his blood and know their location. However, there is also a way to remove the curse from Muzan, and he continues to pursue Tamayo, who has escaped his curse and is hostile to Muzan. In order to overcome the weakness of demons that cannot live under the sun, he has increased the number of demons and is waiting for a demon with a special constitution that can overcome the sun to appear. A female demon living as a doctor in Tokyo. She escapes from the pursuit of Kibutsuji Muzan by hiding her dwelling place with the blindfolding technique of Yushiro, taking Yushiro along like a follower. Although she can turn people into demons, she has no desire to unnecessarily increase the number of demons, and she only deals with people who are incurably ill and have little time left to live. In such cases, he asks those she intends to turn into demons if they wish to survive even if they become demons. She is suffering from the fact that she killed her family because she turned into a demon, although she became a demon after being saved by Muzan when she was about to lose her life due to illness. In order to eliminate Muzan, she decides to join Kamado Tanjiro, who confronts demons as a member of the Demon Slayer Corps. She hopes to eventually establish a cure that will turn demons back into people, and she is very interested in Kamado Nezuko, who has become a demon but protects people without attacking them. With Nezuko's consent, she had her donate her blood for her research. She wants to study the blood of not only Nezuko's but also many other demons and asks Tanjiro to collect the blood of demons who have been hostile to him, especially the Twelve Kizuki, who have a large share of Muzan's blood. She lives without eating people by drinking human blood collected for transfusion. Since she does not eat people, she does not have the peculiar smell that demons have. In the past, when Muzan was weakened by the attack from Tugikuni Yoriichi, she temporarily escaped from Muzan's control, and since then she has learned how to continue to escape from Muzan's control, which is why the Twelve Kizuki calls her an escaper and are always after her life.

He has a special body that allows him to live on a smaller amount of blood than Tamayo, having the past of Tamayo turning him into a demon. While only Kibutsuji Muzan was originally able to increase the number of demons, he is the only former human who became a demon through the power of Tamayo. Since he does not eat humans, he does not have the peculiar smell of a demon. He has a passionate affection for Tamayo and will do anything she says. He regularly uses the blindfolding Blood Demon Art and is extremely skilled at manipulating sight. When he was attacked by Susamaru, he lent Tanjiro his sight through a sign to open the way for Tanjiro. In the decisive battle against Muzan, he wore the uniform of the Demon Slayer Corps to support Tanjiro and his men and played an active role in the Demon Slayer Corps by saving the lives of the members. After Muzan killed Tamayo, he followed Tamayo's wishes and actively supported the Demon Slayer Corps Hashira by hijacking the enemy's vision and manipulating information, contributing to the defeat of Muzan. He is also aware of his own weakness, and even after joining the Demon Slayer Corps, he is always frightened of his approaching death, and Tanjiro scolds him for it. In the past, when he was cheated on by a woman and borrowed money, Kuwashima Jigoro, who serves as the Demon Slayer Corps Hashira, took his debt on his behalf. Agatsuma Zenitsu, who was forced to undergo blood-soaked training in exchange for covering his debt, finds himself enlisted in the Demon Slayer Corps. The bird that accompanies him for communication is not a crow but a sparrow, and Zenitsu is unable to communicate with the sparrow, but for some reason, Tanjiro seems to be able to understand their language and sometimes translates for him. Because of his unusually developed sense of hearing, he can perceive even the subtleties of people's hearts through sounds. He is a master of the Thunder Breathing and has a unique constitution that allows him to excel in swordsmanship without consciousness when he faints from fear. Since he defeats enemies while he is asleep, Zenitsu is unaware of his sword skills. He has trained hard but has only mastered the First Form. However, the First Form, which he is accustomed to using, strikes down his enemies with a powerful blow that has been honed and refined. Later, he wins a battle against his brother Kaigaku, who has become a demon, using the Seventh Form that he created. For some reason, he prefers to use the blade of his favorite sword after it has been damaged by hitting it against a stone. He has an Ainezu-colored sword, and he is very good at Animal Breathing, which he learned in his own style, making him an extremely skilled fighter. He is always belligerent, and he never loses his style of attacking his enemies head-on like a wild boar. In the final selection, he entered Mount Fujikasane before anyone else and descended the mountain before anyone else, displaying a character that is the epitome of impatience. He is a weird one, who after a power struggle with a member of the Demon Slayer Corps, stole a sword and learned of the final selection, and then arrived at Mount Fujikasane, the site of the final selection. As a baby, he was swept out to sea to escape from the hands of Doma and washed up in the Ara mountains, where he was raised by wild boars. As a result, he has an unusually excellent sense of touch. Before joining the Demon Slayer Corps, he had no parents or siblings, and his only pleasure in life was to compare his strength with other creatures. He hates to lose and is always eager to fight more battles than Tanjiro and Agatsuma Zenitstu, but he is also very kind and caring to his fellows. When one of his fellows is injured, he will get furious and stand up, again and again, to face the enemy with all his strength. His life's work is to devise new techniques one after another, making use of his ability to freely remove and insert his joints at will. He is a very picky eater, but he is attracted to Aoi, who tolerates and accepts his snacking and eventually marries her.

He lives in a deserted hut, and every time he strikes the drum, it rotates the room making it difficult for Kamado Tanjiro to fight. Multiple drums sprout from his body, and the direction in which the room rotates changes depending on the position of the drum. He had hoped to seek out and devour rare-blooded people, accumulate strength, and return to the Twelve Kizuki, but his dreams were cut short when Tanjiro defeated him. He could no longer continue to feed on humans to become more powerful, and he was stripped of his Twelve Kizuki title in disgust by Kibutsuji Muzan. When he was a human, he was an unsuccessful writer, and his hobbies were writing and drumming. He had a strong desire to be recognized by someone ever since he was a human, and was truly happy and grateful when Tanjiro spoke kind words to him as he was about to be defeated and rot away.

Although she has weak muscle strength to wield a sword, her pushing and thrusting power is outstanding, and she can even pierce rocks with her strength. The agility with which she utilizes her small stature is said to be faster than the Seventh Form: Drop Ripple Thrust of Water Breathing. She is also well versed in pharmacology, as she applies the poison of wisteria flowers, which demons hate, to create a poison that can kill them. At the Mugen Castle, she was able to confront Doma of the Twelve Kizuki, who slaughtered her beloved sister, Kocho Kanae. Knowing that Doma likes to eat women, she spent more than a year taking the poison of wisteria into her body on the premise that Doma would eat her, and she planned to make sure that Doma would be killed by the poison of wisteria flowers by having him eat her body. She successfully achieved her true intentions at the Mugen Castle. She once compared Kanae, who continued to sympathize with demons until her death, with Kamado Tanjiro, and asked Tanjiro to find a way to make friends with demons without slaying them, as her sister's dying wish.

It was hard for him to see his father, who was broken by the strength of the demons led by Kibutsuji Muzan, becoming reluctant to train for strength, and he received the news of Kyojuro's death when he was in a depressed mood.
