『エヴァンゲリオン』シリーズの「エヴァンゲリオン初号機」が、『アフロサムライ』などで知られるイラストレーター・岡崎能士による“鎧武者アレンジ”をもとにアクションフィギュア化された。2024年7月26日より予約受付中だ。



庵野秀明の原作・総監督による『新世紀エヴァンゲリオン』は、巨大な人型決戦兵器に乗る少年少女と謎の“使徒”の戦いを通じ、人の心、人と人の関係、そして人の成り立ちの根幹にまで迫りぬいたSFアニメだ。2007年～2021年には、それを「REBUILD（再構築）」する全4部作の劇場アニメとして『ヱヴァンゲリヲン新劇場版』シリーズが展開された。完結編の『シン・エヴァンゲリオン劇場版』はシリーズ最大のヒットとなる興行収入102.8億円を記録した。



「RIOBOT 汎用人型合戦兵器 武者初号機」は、そんな本シリーズに登場する「エヴァンゲリオン初号機」を、『アフロサムライ』などで知られるイラストレーター・岡崎能士による“鎧武者アレンジ”をもとに立体化したアクションフィギュアだ。



「エヴァンゲリオン初号機」の特徴的なプロポーションを踏まえつつ、原作の装甲板（=拘束具）を日本式甲冑に大胆アレンジしているのが見どころ。全高約255mmに、武者初号機の魅力が凝縮された。



右腰には専用の大太刀「孫六刀」を帯刀でき、刃紋も塗装で表現されている。また、太刀と両肩の小太刀は抜き差しが可能だ。エヴァンゲリオンの特徴的な姿勢や躍動感あるポーズ、抜刀姿勢、刀の両手持ちなど様々なアクションを楽しめる。

Evangelion Unit-01 from the "Evangelion" series has been transformed into an action figure based on an arrangement by illustrator Okazaki Takashi, known for "Afro Samurai." Pre-orders started on July 26, 2024.

The original "Neon Genesis Evangelion" created and directed by Anno Hideaki is a sci-fi anime that delves deeply into human emotions, relationships, and the essence of humanity through the battles of young pilots in giant humanoid decisive weapons against mysterious entities known as "Angels." From 2007 to 2021, the series was reimagined into a four-part movie series called "Rebuild of Evangelion." The final installment, "Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time," became the highest-grossing film of the series, earning 10.28 billion yen.

The "RIOBOT Multipurpose Humanoid Combat Weapon Samurai Unit-01" is an action figure that brings Evangelion Unit-01 to life based on Okazaki Takashi's "samurai warrior" arrangement.

The figure captures the distinctive proportions of "Evangelion Unit-01" while boldly reimagining its armor plates (restraints) as traditional Japanese armor. Standing approximately 255mm tall, the figure encapsulates the fascination of the Samurai Unit-01.

The figure comes with the "Magoroku Sword," a custom large katana with a painted blade pattern, which can be sheathed at the right waist. The long and short katanas on its shoulders can be drawn or sheathed. Various actions can be recreated, including the iconic poses of Evangelion, dynamic action stances, drawing the sword, and holding the sword with both hands.

This stunning collaboration brings the "Samurai Unit-01" to life, making it a must-have for any fan.
